About the flat ~
Excellent condition deco flat on Oriental Parade, with views of the harbour over to the city outside your window, and a walk over the road to the beach. Fully furnished, plenty of space and a nice homey home, includes fully equipped kitchen. Light, bright and airy with high ceilings and great sunshine. Super warm in winter, and cool & airy with the sea breeze in summer.
It's 3 bedroom, so one spare for family and guests. Being deco it's also a solid building, and has been very sturdy through the odd quake. I feel very safe here and it's only two floors.
Relaxed, tidy easy going flat. I enjoy music, nice food & wine, good movies, the odd gathering once in a while and friends coming and going. It'd suit a working or studying professional, who's either Wellington-based full time or during the week.
No need for the car during the week if you work central, with the city just 10-20 mins walk. The bus stop is also 2m from the front door. A great handful of local cafes nearby, and the supermarket is just 5 minutes too. Local markets on Sunday's are also good for fresh produce.
About the room ~
The room is large, with seaside views, queen bed with wooden frame, built in closet, shelves a bedside table, and a desk and chair set-up for a quiet moment by the ocean. The rooms have heavy, thick curtains too for good sleeping. More photos and details available on request.
Bills & other perks ~
> Kitchen has an espresso machine, saving coffee drinkers $20-30 a week.
> If you're interested, an off street car park can be added for $20 per week (neg).
> Electricity ranges from $50pm in summer to (max) $100 with higher usage over the colder winter months (June Jul, Aug sometimes Sep). Plus we have good control of this with economical heaters.
> We split our wifi with the neighbours, so it's just $20 pm per person for unlimited usage.
> Generally pretty easy going to split other bits & pieces for the flat.
About me ~
I work full-time in a Design Agency, and am doing some post-grad study - so am pretty busy, being close to the city means you can easily come and go. I'm pretty open-minded and I've lived overseas a long time, but am pleased to call Wellington home. I'm quite creative, so enjoy painting, photography and good company. I enjoy a good range of music, the outdoors, the movies, meals with friends and good company.
Anything else? ~
Couples welcome for $540pw, negotiable. Rent is paid 2x weeks in advance, and bond is 4x weeks rent. Move in date is flexible anytime given the additional room, perhaps a small transition time.
I am in the final stages of getting a puppy which is due mid-February. It's a gorgeous natured Cocker Spaniel. It'll have a pretty strict routine, and be at work with me most days, so won't be under your feet. But animal appreciators welcome.
