Brand new apartment - we're the first tenants. Insulated and double glazed so very warm, but heat pump equipped for AC also. Nice balcony overlooking Fitzgerald Ave with big glass sliding doors in behind which get heaps of sun.
Ideal location with easy access to the four Aves, walking distance to the city centre (~10-15 mins to Cathedral Square) and two core bus routes within a few blocks of us. Only drawback is no off-street parking, but we don't have problems with on-street.
Common areas fully furnished with couches, tv, consoles, netflix/lightbox, washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, iron, clothes horses, oven, stove, fridge, microwave, jug, toaster, cutlery, plates and bowls, pots and pans, etc. Spare bedroom has a good bed in it and a built in wardrobe but that's it. Internet is the fastest available.
Good fish n chip shop downstairs, as well as a dairy and a recently opened kebab shop. One shop left to open. The Fitz and a bottle shop just across the road. Snap fitness 5 min walk away. Just about anything else can be found with a wee walk to the city centre.
One current tenant works business hours in the CBD, often has things on in evenings and plays football in the weekend. Other tenant owns a sandwich shop and coffee carts, works hospitality hours and spends free time doing adventure sports (mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, etc.)
We enjoy a good chat about all sorts of things and often have people around on a Saturday night before walking into town. We keep relatively tidy but will admit dishes aren't always done straight away.
